I've been in the Private Security Industry for several years now. UK Law is changing and the guards have to be "properly" trained, criminal background checks and apply for a 3-year licence to operate within the industry. In short, the Professional Security Guard.
Don't get me wrong it has been a long time coming but what really annoys me is the management - they don't have to do any training and actually convince themselves they know what they are talking about. Take my lot for instance. Backgrounds in the hotel business, catering, telecommunciations and Toys R Us! Their management style (if I can call that) leaves a lot to be desired. Guards leaving in droves and even clients questioning how they run things. Things are so bad even their horses are pantomime!
